Susie's House (Narrative)
At 2.45pm we arrived at my friend Susie's house to film more narrative elements for our music video, consisting of the 'Breakfast Scene', 'Chess Scene', 'Fight Scene', 'Photo+Guitar Scene' and 'Charlotte's Return'. These scenes are a combination of past happy/sad memories and the present day.

During the location recce we discovered that the interior design of Susie's house exuded a modern quality with a subtle hint of 60's retro. Essentially, Susie's house acts as Olly and Charlotte's apartment in the video and the stylish interior reflects Olly as a modern urban artist and the retro essence adds a romantic feel to the environment. For example, in the 'Breakfast' and 'Chess' scene the couple sit at opposite ends of a dining table and the hanging lampshades that are placed above the table (acting as spotlights) not only emphasise the couple's relationship as a focal part of the narrative, but also create a warm, orange-tinted light which signifies a beloved and cherished memory.

Unfortunately, since one of our actors had to leave early, we found ourselves rushing the latter scenes ('Fight Scene', 'Photo Scene' and 'Charlotte's Return'). The loss of time resulted in some unplanned hand-held camerawork and overall, hurried the entire filming process which meant that we didn't film everything that we had initially planned in the storyboard.

Despite this issue, we captured some excellent footage throughout the day and when we upload to Final Cut, we can thoroughly examine today's work which will enable us to recognise the particular scenes that fail to meet our high expectations and can schedule another day to re-film them.
